Located 160km north east of Ho Chi Minh City, Cat Tien national park covers 71,920 hectares of lowland forest and jungle. One of Vietnam's most important and largest National Parks, it is mostly situated at the northern edge of Ðông Nam Bô (South-eastern) region, but includes southern edge of Tây Nguyên (the Western Highlands). A number of primate species including the endemic golden-cheeked gibbon, elephant, gaur and tiger still exists in the park. Many birds can be found, including such specialities as Germain's peacock pheasant, bar-bellied pitta and the rare endemic orange-necked partridge…Itinerary:
Day1: Saigon - Cat Tien national park
Departing from Saigon by our private vehicle, we drive 160kms to Cat Tien National Park. In the afternoon, we do 8km trek through the Reserved Core Area. We will see many kinds of hundreds of years old trees such as: Iron tree ( xà cừ), Lagertroemia( bằng lằng), Dipterocarpus( gỗ dầu)......so on.
Return to the center for dinner.
After dinner take a jeep and cruise in to the forest for light-spotting, with any good luck we will spot some wild animals.
Overnight in guest house in the Park.
Day 2: Cat Tien: Trek to Crocodiles swamp (B,L)

Day 2: Cat Tien: Trek to Crocodiles swamp (B,L)
Wake up early and take a walk, enjoy the nice songs of native birds.
Have breakfast at 7:30 and prepare for another trek to see the Crocodiles swamp. You will be transported by vehicle to the trail head, then walk 5km of jungle trails to Crocodile Lake. It is a large freshwater lake nestled deep in the middle of the national park. The water of the lake is so transparent that it reflects beautifully-shaped old trees and birds flying in the sky, making the lake and surroundings like a picturesque painting.
Have breakfast at 7:30 and prepare for another trek to see the Crocodiles swamp. You will be transported by vehicle to the trail head, then walk 5km of jungle trails to Crocodile Lake. It is a large freshwater lake nestled deep in the middle of the national park. The water of the lake is so transparent that it reflects beautifully-shaped old trees and birds flying in the sky, making the lake and surroundings like a picturesque painting.
Time to relax and enjoy the lake, when ready we trek 5km back to the vehicle and transfer back to headquarter for lunch, check out and take bus ride to your designated destination (Dalat, Mui Ne or back HCM city).
